This Privacy Policy explains how KP Digital (“KP Digital”, “we”, “us” or “our”), the company behind HandOver, collects, uses and protects personal information on this website (the “Site”) and in business communications with us.
01Scope
This policy covers the Site and the inquiries you send us. It does not cover:
- Client data — datasets, recordings, robot logs and other material we process for clients under a services agreement. That processing follows the client’s agreement and instructions.
- Program participants — demonstrators, operators and site staff who take part in our data collection programs. They receive a separate notice and give written consent before taking part.
02Information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the scoping form, we collect your work email address (required) and, if you choose to provide them, your organization, the evaluation batch you are interested in, and your description of the task, embodiment and format. When you email us, we receive your name, email address and anything else you include.
Please do not include sensitive information — such as health data or government identification numbers — or confidential project details in the form. If we need confidential details to scope your project, we are happy to sign a mutual NDA first.
Information collected automatically
Like any website, the Site receives technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time of each request. We use it only to deliver the Site, keep it secure and prevent abuse.
Cookies
The Site does not set advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not use tracking pixels or third-party analytics tools. If this changes, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires, ask for your consent.
03How we use it
We use personal information to:
- respond to your inquiry and keep in touch with you about it;
- scope your project — including a protocol draft, pricing and an evaluation batch — and enter into and perform an agreement with you or your organization;
- operate and secure the Site, including filtering spam and preventing misuse;
- comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We send marketing emails only if you have agreed to receive them, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
04Legal bases
Under Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act, we process this information where it is necessary to take steps you request before entering into an agreement, or to perform one, and otherwise where the law permits it.
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on:
- our legitimate interests in answering business inquiries and running a secure website;
- steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and performance of that contract;
- your consent, where we ask for it — you can withdraw it at any time;
- compliance with our legal obligations.
05Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers below, who may use it solely to provide their services to us:

We also use email and productivity services to receive and answer your messages. We may disclose information when required by law or legal process; to protect the rights, property or safety of KP Digital, our clients or others; or to a successor organization in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, which will remain bound by this policy.
06International transfers
We are based in South Korea, and only our team in South Korea handles the information you send us. Some of the service providers above store or process information outside South Korea, mainly in the United States. Information is transferred to them over encrypted connections when you visit the Site or submit the form. Where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses — Netlify, for example, uses standard contractual clauses and the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Recipients keep information only as long as they need it for the purposes above; form submissions stored with Netlify are deleted when we delete them. If you do not want your information transferred abroad, please contact us at data@handover.ai instead of using the form, and we will discuss alternatives — although without it we may be unable to scope your project.
07How long we keep it
We keep inquiry information while we discuss a potential project with you and delete it no later than two years after our last contact, unless you become a client or the law requires us to keep it longer. Client records are kept for the length of the relationship and afterwards as required by law, for example under commercial and tax rules.
When information is no longer needed, we permanently delete electronic records and shred any paper copies. Technical logs held by our hosting and delivery providers are deleted on their own schedules.
08How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. The Site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, access to inquiry information is limited to the people who need it, and our providers maintain their own security programs. No system is completely secure, so please keep sensitive information out of the form.
09Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- give you access to the personal information we hold about you, or a copy of it;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your information;
- restrict or stop processing, including for direct marketing;
- provide your information in a portable format.
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To make a request, email data@handover.ai; you can also act through an authorized representative. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time required by law.
If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to a data protection authority. In South Korea, you can contact:

10Children
The Site is intended for business users. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new “Last updated” date and, for significant changes, give notice on the Site at least seven days before they take effect.
